Eating is the secret to good cooking

Culinary is one of my fields of interest and I consider eating as an art. Many people think that “eating” is simply putting food in their mouth and filling an empty stomach, but I do not. For me, eating is not simply to satisfy cravings when hungry, but to enjoy excellent spices and enjoy every moment in life. Therefore, I always try to turn each meal into a comfortable relaxing time, so that I can slow down a bit, observe more, feel everything clearly and appreciate every second. every minute more.

There is a saying that goes like this: “Eating is the secret to good cooking”. Most chefs or chefs at Michelin-starred restaurants or countless other good cooks have a very special taste. In addition to recognizing spices, ingredients in dishes, cooking methods or cooking times, they also have their own sense of taste. Where did that come from? That is from eating and drinking. They had to experience many different dishes to have such accurate taste. So, if you want to cook excellent food, you always start with eating first.

“If you want to eat, go to the kitchen” is a “classic” saying that I always apply to myself. But I will edit it to fit my idea better, which is “If you want to eat well, you have to go to the kitchen”. Now “eating” is not an urgent need anymore, eating has been raised to a higher level that is “good food”. But if we want to eat well, we can’t go to the restaurant forever. Making delicious food yourself will be much more interesting and interesting. And I feel lucky to find joy in cooking and to be able to combine the two things I love together: eating and cooking.

As a kid who loves novelty, I often want to try new dishes/restaurants (because of the same dish, the taste will not be the same due to different cooking methods). When I taste it, I will pay close attention to how the dish smells, what spices are used to process it, how soft – tough – thick – thin, etc. And if I feel that the dish is delicious, I will. will immediately type Google to find the recipe. So after 2 times drinking Peach Yogurt at 1986 Coffee (Hai Phong), I decided to try making this dish. By the way, I’m in the “social isolation” period, I am quite free, so I will write down the “7-day diary in the kitchen”. Let’s look forward to seeing what dishes I will show off in these 7 days!

Can’t wait any longer, the first day will be the Peach Yogurt that I have been “sick” for so long.
The first time I tasted this drink at 1986 Coffee (Hai Phong), I liked it very much and reviewed it in the article “New things I did in November”. After drinking for the second time, I made up my mind to tinker with it. Initially, I looked for the recipe online, but there was no recipe like the one in 1986 Coffee, so I made it myself =)). I use ingredients according to the flavors I feel (or so I think) when I drink it at 1986 Coffee and grind it like a normal smoothie. As for the decor, it’s easier because my house rosemary can be grown. After I finished it, I found that the taste of it was still not quite right, maybe I need to re-measure and measure the dosage of the ingredients. I will definitely try again!

In addition to making “Peach Yogurt”, I also started making “cheese grilled beef sandwich”. This dish I just read the recipe at the guild the other day =)). However, I modified it a bit in my own style, and it was quite successful hahaa.
